Don’t even think about just throwing your lingerie in the wash with all the rest of your laundry. With the diverse types of styles and fabrics on the market today you simply cannot through everything together. What you must do to ensure the life of your lingerie is either hand wash or use the delicate cycle of your washing machine and wash your lingerie by itself. As far a cleaning agents are concerned you need to be sure to only use the mildest detergents and fabric softeners since the materials used in most lingerie damages easily. This is even more true with fabrics that are very sheer as well as mesh and lace lingerie.

Originally the chemise was a simple shirt or smock worn under the clothes. It was designed to keep sweat and body oils from staining and spreading to the outer garments. It developed from the Roman tunica in the medieval times. In the European Middle Ages chemise was popular in both men and women. Women wore chemises as shirts beneath their gowns while the men wore chemises with their trousers and covered them with doublets or robes. Today only women wear a chemise almost always as a part of her lingerie ensemble.

How Bustiers Slim And Enhance Your Figure

The corset is beautiful garment, which is worn to mould the shape of the torso and enhance the chest, giving a beautiful shape to the body and has traditionally worn by all women. It does not have straps and can be worn as lingerie as well as party wear. A corset helps reduce the fat on the stomach and makes a person look very slim. Whereas a “bustier”, is a tight fitting garment, which was traditionally worn as lingerie, by women. Bustiers do not have straps on the shoulder, similar to corsets. One has to attach the bustier to their back with strings. A bustier is similar to buying a bra; you have to choose the right cup size for it to fit perfectly.
